MURS
He is the only rapper with his own music festival. Each album he releases sells more than its predecessor. He toured the world without having a major record deal. So, there's a reason why independent rap stalwart Murs decided to name his major label debut album Murs For President (Love And Rockets). Murs wants to be rap's leader and spokesperson, the artist who helps give rap a credible face to fans, the media and critics. After all, the Los Angeles rapper is articulate and well read. He doesn't use drugs and his platform consists of peace, love, unity and having fun.

Ray Fortune
Singer/songwriter Ray Fortune's euphonic but riveting voice immediately captivates audiences. The listener is drawn in, mesmerized by lyrics that touch upon shared human experience. The element which makes Ray Fortune stand out amongst musicians is truly the emotional participation he creates for his listeners. His song writing focuses on the Universal themes of love and loss, evoking examination of what was, what heartbreakingly is, and what may yet still be. He sings of yearning, pleading, remembering, and wishing; hauntingly accompanied by a clear, soft, melodic, acoustic guitar.

Nathan Maxwell & The Original Bunny Gang (featuring members of Flogging Molly)
There comes a time in his life when each and every man needs to express himself, and for Nathen Maxwell that time has come. For the past thirteen years Maxwell has been leaving his heart on stage as the bassist for the seminal Celtic rock band Flogging Molly, one of the biggest touring punk acts in the world. An accomplished songwriter in his own right, Maxwell has contributed songs to Flogging Molly albums in years past, but things progressed differently when the band went into the studio to record Float, their most recent release. "I played these songs for the band and our singer Dave [King] said, "Nate, you've got your own story and I really think you should record these songs,'"

Avi Buffalo
During his 10th grade year in high school, Avi Buffalo began writing and recording songs at home on his computer about teen angst and heartbreak. After being asked to do a few shows by local folk show organizers called Outsider Folk, Avi assembled a full electric band to debut at the start of his junior year. The group played a number of local shows in Long Beach before being asked to play in Los Angeles. The band got asked to play many more shows in LA, and a year later Avi began recording songs with engineer Aaron Embry. These recordings began to form parts of the band's first record. In May of 2009, Avi Buffalo did a residency at The Echo in Los Angeles, and in June of 2009, they went on their first tour of the pacific northwest. Avi's music is a mash-up of many genres, with heavy guitar influence and lyrical ambiguity.

Har Mar Superstar +special guest Guadalajara Joe
This is the album I've been attempting to make my whole life. The Handler chronicles all of the high highs and low lows of the last two years of growing up more or less publicly. Every detail is there for a reason, and I've never laid so much out bare. My goal was to make a more human record that hits everywhere from the joys of being on top to the harrowing loneliness of the same place. Just as importantly, I think the album is a whole lot of fun which is something a lot of musicians seem to be having a lot of trouble with lately. Some people wait their whole lives to feel this good about something. I'm lucky it happened by the age of 26. I hope you enjoy the Handler. It's gonna be huge.

The Veltexan's debut album, "Everything's the Matter," was released in 2007. Tight, punchy rhythms, searing guitars and soaring melodies are neatly packaged into 3-minute, no-frills, angular rock songs. The approach is very minimalist and the songs are heavy, hook-laden tales of everyday fumbling to find a way.

Pilar Diaz
Chilean-born and California-bred, Pilar Díaz is a talented singer-songwriter whose life highlights her many interests. Moving frequently between Santiago and LA as a child, she was taught guitar by her parents, both of whom were acclaimed folkloric musicians, and her voice was soon heard on various cartoons in her native and newfound countries. Accurately reflecting her adopted hometown of Los Angeles, she spent her teenage years going to punk shows in Hollywood, and her bedroom walls had as many photos of Victor Jara and Violeta Parra as they did REM and Bjork. She graduated from CalArts, where she majored in classical voice (specifically opera), was a member of a Bulgarian women's choir and Balkan music group, participated in a gamelan ensemble that toured Bali, and led a popular campus band with Ryan Francesconi, who currently serves as Joanna Newsom's musical director. During and after college, Díaz worked with Danny Elfman on numerous soundtracks, and her vocals appear in films like Spiderman and Sleepy Hollow. With her rock band Los Abandoned, a bilingual new wave outfit whose debut album was lauded everywhere from the LA Times to Perez Hilton, she performed on Conan O'Brien and KCRW, gigged with Sonic Youth and Neil Young, and played before a crowd of 40,000 in Mexico City.
